Pull Testing
We offer extensive pull testing services with years of industry experience. Our comprehensive testing covers a wide variety of construction fixings, including small screws, eyebolts, studs, bolts, and reinforcment bars, accommodating any size or diameter. Our testing adheres to British Standard BS8539, ensuring reliability and compliance.
Equipped with specialised tools, we can conduct tests in various base materials, whether performing a standard vertical pull from a floor slab or utilising bespoke apparatus due to access constraints. Our pull testing services are designed to assess failure, resistance, and quality verification.
Our in-house capabilities include testing with equipment that can achieve a maximum load of 600kN. The largest hydraulic apparatus we possess can handle fixings with diameters up to 54mm.
Additionally, we are proficient in testing concrete bond strength using 50mm dollies, following British Standard BS1881-207. Our pull testing service can be executed using either manual or automatic equipment, typically aimed at evaluating the adhesion of applied coatings to concrete substrates.
For reliable, high-capacity pull testing that meets industry standards, trust our dedicated team to deliver accurate and efficient results.
Paint adhesion testing can also be conducted using automatic testing equipment, which necessitates the use of a 20mm, 14.2mm, or 10mm dolly. This procedure is carried out in accordance with British standard BS EN 24624.
Push Testing
A push testing service is essential for various applications. We specialise in creating customised kits tailored for testing pedestrian barriers, highway crash barriers, decorative glass panels, balcony handrails, and more. Conducting these tests can be complex, especially in private residences, where site conditions may prevent the installation of a load frame through drilling. Our innovative solutions ensure accurate and reliable testing while adhering to the specific limitations of the site environment.
Load Testing
Over the years, we have performed numerous load tests on floor and roof slabs to evaluate their structural integrity. These tests involve simulating loads across large spans, assisting clients in determining the loading capacities of their structures, particularly when considering a change of use, such as converting a first or second floor into a gym.
Various methods can be utilised to apply the load, including water or individual steel weights, depending on site conditions and location. Deflection measurements are accurately captured using dial gauges or laser technology. To ensure safety throughout the testing process, a crash structure is implemented below as a fail-safe measure.
Our expertise in load testing guarantees that your structure meets the required loading specifications, providing peace of mind for any change of use project.
The Latest Construction Equipment
We offer advanced equipment options, including analogue dial gauges, digital gauges, and Bluetooth-enabled digital data recording gauges. Our Bluetooth gauges allow for rapid data transmission, enabling test results to be emailed within minutes of completion. All of our gauges measure in kilonewtons (kN) and are fully calibrated and certified by the manufacturer. A copy of the calibration certificate is always available upon request, ensuring compliance and quality assurance for your construction projects.
